What should I get a 5 year old boy for his birthday?


I have a friend and his little guy is turning 5. None of my other friends have kids this age anymore. He likes a lot of different things. Don’t say books…I’ve done that before, and he already has the books I buy him. Gift cards are no fun for a 5 year old, either. So please, if you can, be SPECIFIC. Please don’t just say…”Get him a truck.” “Get him a video game.” I am wondering if there are some cool toys out there that would be facinating for a kid this age. Not more than $20-$30. Thanks.

My son turned 5 this year and really enjoyed his remote controlled car. Not the lame baby kind where the car is attached to the remote. We got a car that can drive in the grass, and it took him a while, but he figured out how to drive and turn and work the remote. And you can get a decent one for $20.
