Whats the best gaming notebook under/at $3000?

I will be receiving a gift of a gaming laptop from a relative of mine with a budget up to $3000 for my graduation. What do you think would be the best gaming laptop I could get in this price range. I was originally thinking of getting an Alienware M17 or M15x customized to the 3000 limit, but there may be something better out there I can get. What do you all think?
