Is Travel safe in Cuba a Female Traveling Alone?


My friend Susan has always dreamed of visiting Cuba and doing a Backpacking trip all by herself and we thought as a Graduation gift to send her to cuba for 2-3 weeks and wanted to know if Cuba was a safe destination for a female traveling on her own?

Cuba is one of the world’s more safe countries for females as crimes against women are few and far between. As for meeting people, the Cuban people are very friendly, you will have no problem meeting people along the way. Just be careful of your money, because some Cubans are having lots of financial hardship and they have a thousand ways of convincing you to give them some, including women who will ask you for money to buy milk for their baby.Use common sense and you will be fine
