Is it a good idea to purchase a debit card or gift card?


I want to be able to make purchases online and in stores without having to pay extra fees after every transaction. I don’t have a savings or checking account and i can’t afford the monthly upkeep of one. So which would be better to just apply for a debit card or a gift card, and why?

A non reloadable prepaid card has one fee, the purchase fee & amount the card is good for. No more fees if used within 13 months.
A reloadable card costs monthly for use & reload fees every time you put more money on it.
