Sugar-free hard candy recipe? Splenda?


I’m making gift baskets for Christmas this year, and want to put homemade hard candy in it (by request from last year). However, my boyfriend’s dad is diabetic, so I’m trying to find a sugar-free recipe. I’d rather use Splenda than anything else as it tastes so much better. He’s diabetic, not taste disabled!

I read on someone’s post from another website that Splenda tends to clump. Anyone actually made hard candy from Splenda?
